Tepeyollotl, Heart of the Mountain, the Jaguar of Night, lord of the animals, darkened caves, echoes and earthquakes. Tepeyollotl is a variant of Tezcatlipoca. The spots on his coat represent the stars in the sky.

In the calendar, Tepeyollotl rules over both the third day, Calli (house), and the third trecena, 1-Mazatl (deer). He is the Lord of the Night number eight.
